Welcome to the 2026 Swim Season
Please read all of the information listed below on swim requirements and commitments. Our rules, deadlines, and expectations have been put in place to offer a smoothly run summer swimming experience for MAC families! We appreciate your cooperation!
The MAC swim team is a fun yet competitive swim team for children ages 5-18.
The MAC Swim Team will compete in the Gateway League for the 2026 season.
PENGUINS
- Practice - Monday - Friday mornings unless otherwise communicated
- Swim Meets are held on Monday evenings.
- Consistent practice is encouraged
- Penguin swimmers must be able to swim the full length of the pool in a reasonable amount of time without touching the sides, ropes or bottom.
PUFFINS
- The Puffin pre-team is for younger swimmers ages 4-5 (swimmers must be 4 by May 31, 2026) no exceptions.
- If your child is not ready for Puffins, we do offer private lessons. See MAC app.
Swim Practices
Our goal is to get all swimmers ages 5 and up in the pool for practice Monday-Friday.
Puffins will practice 2-3 days 11:45-12:15pm.
Cost
The charge for the 2026 Penguin swim season is $205/per swimmer. The charge for the dive team is $205/per diver. There are no multi-child discounts. Puffins will be charged $180 each.
Registration
Current Families- Tuesday, April 1, 2025
Families who were ACTIVE 2024 Penguins & Puffins = CURRENT families
ACTIVE =
- participated in practices and meets
- club number was charged for being on the team.
- maintained MAC membership (paid dues, been in good standing, etc) since August of 2025.
Wednesday, April 1st 2026 -9:00am CURRENT FAMILY REGISTRATION BEGINS!
DEADLINE = April 7th 2026
If you do not register by April 7, you must register with new families. Spots are not guaranteed. NO EXCEPTIONS will be made to this rule.
New Families - Wednesday, April 8, 2026
NEW FAMILIES = no active Penguin, Puffin, or Diver for the summer of 2025
If you did lessons or practice only, you are not considered a returning family.
Wednesday, April 8th 9:00am - NEW FAMILY registration begins!
- Registration is on a first come first serve basis. NO EXCEPTIONS.
- After you register, you will receive a confirmation email. You will receive this email even if the group for which you are registering is full. If the group is full, you will receive an email notifying you of your waitlist status within a week AFTER you receive your confirmation email.
- New families MUST wait until April 8 to register.
- You may not use any link forwarded to you by a current swim family.
- You must also have an ACTIVE MAC member number to register.
- If you attempt to register without an active MAC member number, you will be placed at the bottom of the waitlist.
Priority for 2026 Season
- Families with a child in the 2025 Penguin swim program will be guaranteed a spot in the 2026 Penguin swim program for that child and any siblings.
- Families with a child on the 2025 dive team will be guaranteed a spot on the 2025 dive team for that child and any siblings.
- If you were on Dive Team in 2025, you may register with returning families for Dive, but will be considered new if registering for Swim Team.
- All 2025 Puffins will be guaranteed a spot on the 2026 Penguin team or Puffin team, according to their age and ability.
- All of these guarantees are contingent upon meeting the "Active" family requirements outlined above and timely 2026 registration.
NEW RULES for 2026
- If you do not swim the required 3 meets for the 2026 season you will not be considered a returning family for 2027.
- If parents do not volunteer for the meets, you will not be considered a returning family for 2027.
- REGISTRATION DEADLINE is Wednesday, April 22nd.
