Waivers Signed During Registration and Team Requirements
Waivers Signed During Registration
Registration Waiver
I have an active (active since the end of the 2023 swim season) MAC member number.
I acknowledge that I had a child active in the Penguin Swim team, the Dive team, or the Puffin Pre-team during the 2023 season. I only received this registration link from a MAC Swim and Dive Representative. I understand that if I continue with registration and DID NOT have a child active on the 2023 team, my children will be placed at the bottom of the waitlist.
Medical Waiver

As the parent/legal guardian of the above registered swimmers/divers, I the undersigned, intending to be legally bound, do hereby for myself, executors and administrators waive, release and forever discharge any and all rights and claims for damages, including any claims for loss, damages and injury to any person or property arising from swim and dive team activities, from the Missouri Athletic Club personnel, coaches, staff members or volunteers. I attest and verify that my child is physically fit and able to participate in the MAC Swim and Dive Team program.

MAC Swim Team Rules and General Information
Please read the following rules and regulations. These rules are designed to provide a safe and constructive atmosphere for all who participate in the program.
Young swimmers must be able to swim the length of the pool before they will be entered in a swim meet. All swimmers are encouraged to learn the proper technique of all four strokes. Swimmers are required to listen to the coaches and participate. Any disciplinary issues will be brought to the parent’s attention after practice.
Please do not approach coaches during practice. Their focus needs to remain on the swimmers for everyone’s safety. For questions or concerns that the parent rep cannot answer, wait until practice is over to address the coaches. No coaches are to be pushed into the water. Our coaches are athletes themselves and we do not want them injured.
The cost for MAC Swim team is $185 for the first child. Additional children will receive 10% off. The cost for Dive team is $185. Additional children will receive 10% off. Puffin cost is $160 per child.
The MAC will charge your account for these fees.
Since our team has a large number of younger swimmers, all swimmers are expected to attend practice at least two times a week (Monday-Friday). Swimmers attendance will be taken daily. Swimmers are required to check in with coaches at the beginning of practice. If your child is on a second swim team, they are asked to still fulfill the MAC requirement.
When choosing swimmers for events, coaches may take into consideration the attendance each week. If coaches are concerned with the consistent lack of attendance of a swimmer, the Parent Rep will notify the parents. Swimmers who consistently fail to show for practice will not be eligible to swim in future meets.
Declare whether or not your child will be swimming in a meet NO LATER THAN 5:00 PM THE THURSDAY BEFORE EACH MEET. Please access the team site and RSVP for every meet. No changes can be made past 5:00 PM THE THURSDAY BEFORE. You must contact the Parent Rep or the Coach to make any changes after this deadline. If your child is a 'no show' for a meet, you will receive a warning. If your swimmer is a 'no show' for a second meet, your swimmer will be removed from the roster. A 'no show' is defined by a swimmer who was entered into the meet, and without any communication that your swimmer will be unable to attend the meet to a Parent Rep or Coach, they do not show up for the meet, or miss an event(s) because they come late to the meet or leave the meet early.
Bullpen rules are mandatory. ALL SWIMMERS MUST REMAIN WITH THEIR BULLPEN AGE GROUP FOR THE ENTIRE MEET. This ensures the safety of the team members and enables them to get to their race on time. If your child is not present in the Bullpen during the line up for a race, they assume responsibility if a race is missed. Bullpen workers are NOT responsible for finding swimmers.
If you have a 6 and Under swimmer, we highly encourage that a parent or legal guardian stays with your swimmer in the Bullpen area. Parent Reps reserve the right to require a parent or legal guardian to sit with a swimmer (no matter what the age) at any time.
Parents are required to work swim and dive meets. If your child is not swimming or diving in a meet and the parent is signed up to work, the parent must still work or fulfill the work requirement.
