Good evening everyone,

I hope you all have had a great weekend. This week is our last week of dive before conference. Yes, WE HAVE PRACTICE THIS WEEK (7/12-7/16). Additionally we have a dive practice AT Cool Dell on Wednesday the 14th from 2-3pm. Anyone is welcome to attend this practice. This practice is for your kids to get a feel for the boards at Cool Dell before the conference. 

Now, speaking of conference, here is all the information I have for you regarding the meet this Sunday the 18th: 

The order of divers for each meet is randomly assigned. The top 12 divers in each age group will earn points toward their team’s score.

Our conference championships are Sunday, July 18 at Cool Dell. The competition will consist of four small meets. Projected start times are as follows:

Meet 1: 8-Under boys and girls. Warm-ups at 8:00; Competition at 8:15.

Meet 2: 9-10 boys and girls. Warm-ups at 9:00; Competition at 9:15.

Meet 3: 11-12 boys and girls AND 13-14 girls. Warm-ups at 10:00; Competition at 10:15.

Meet 4: 13-14 boys AND 15-18 boys and girls. Wam-ups at 11:00; Competition at 11:20

Please note the timeline above is an estimate and meets may start earlier than projected if things move quickly. You must be at the pool early in case this happens. This includes divers and parent volunteer workers. Please plan to arrive about 45 minutes prior to your scheduled warm-up so you can relax and watch the meet before yours.

Awards will be handed out immediately after each meet so don’t leave before you get your medal. 

Those of you who have offered to help out judging for the dive meet please sign up through swimtopia ASAP. I really appreciate your help.

Finally, I will see you all at the pool party tonight. The party begins at 6 and awards will be handed out for swim and dive at 8. I know that many divers have been asking for ribbons so I will also be handing those out along with your divers dive sheets from all the meets. For the parents of divers who have broken records; I have awards for them on the way, but they are not done yet. I will have a medal for them at conference!

Thank you to everyone who is helping and has helped out to make this season run smoothly. I have enjoyed working and getting to know all the divers and I hope they have had a fun and enjoyable season. Let's finish out this last week strong!
