Dear Families,

This week's meet will be on Wednesday, July 5 at MAC.  We have limited spots available in many groups.  Please check swimtopia, and if are signed up but can no longer make it, please let me know asap.  If you would like your child to swim, please email me no later than noon on Friday, June 30.  

Although we did not win the meet at Cool Dell, the children said they had fun.  In particular, they liked the (cheap) hot dogs and exploring a new place.  There were a lot of dq, but our strokes are improving - it's all a part of the process of learning to compete new strokes.  Congratulations to the 13-14 boys for breaking the free relay record - Cooper, Collin, Henry, & Liam.  Thank you to everyone who checked out before leaving the meet!

We will be practicing diving/ starts tomorrow during regular practice groups.  There is no swim practices on Monday or Tuesday - enjoy the holiday! We highly encourage everyone who is swimming in Wednesday's meet to attend practice on Wednesday morning if possible.

Please remember to sign UP for the banquet downtown and sign OUT of conference if you are out of town.  The conference swimmers will be the top 6 per stroke per age group, with 10&under free & back being the top 10 swimmers per group.  We can't know for sure who these children will be until after the final meet.  However, in general for 10&unders, if your child swims in lanes 5/6 they probably will qualify; lanes 1/2 probably will not, with lanes 3/4 on the bubble at the moment.  Of course, we regularly see improvements and it also depends on who is out of town.  A child can qualify in 1 stroke or up to 3 events.  We really hope everyone can plan on attending until further notice - we will email qualifiers on Tuesday, July 11.
