MAC Puffin Swim 2024

Welcome to MAC Puffins! This is a preschool (age 4-5) learn-to-swim program. We are excited to teach your children to become more confident swimmers in a small-group format.

4 & 5 year olds - Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday 11:30-12:00

*The 4 & 5 year olds are placed in small groups based on ability.

*The goals for this group are to have fun, become more confident, and prepare for the swim team next year.

*After the first week, they will have a permanent group, with a dedicated coach. They will meet their group at the same place around the pool each day.

*Starts June 4. Last practice July 11. (No practice July 4)

*Puffin mini-meet on July 11 at 5:00.

Guidelines for all Puffins

*We ask that all family members watch from the chairs on deck or inside. No family members should be at the edge of the pool after drop-off.

*All of our coaches are experienced swimmers and very familiar with the MAC program. We hope you will trust every coach; we can’t accommodate special requests for coaches.

* Please attend practice as often as possible. Swimmers improve the most with regular practice. Attendance will be taken.

*Please do not approach coaches during practice. Their focus needs to stay on the swimmers for everyone’s safety. Please email Lauren with any questions or concerns.

*Weather -- We WILL practice in the rain. Once thunder or lightning is heard/seen, practice will be paused for 30 minutes. We will not make up any lost practice time.
