New Swim Team Families will not need log in information starting April 3rd at 8 am.  You will create an account when registering.  Please use your primary email(s) to create the account to ensure that you receive important Team news.  Your password will automatically be set to "welcome".  

Please note that the Swim Team has to be capped at 25 boys and 25 girls for each age group.  This cap is to ensure the safety of all swimmers at practice.  It also helps children swim in more than one or two events only at each swim meet.  

You will receive an email from the parent representatives within 24 to 48 hours either confirming your spot on the Swim Team or confirming your spot on the wait list for the Swim Team.  The parent representative email will be your official confirmation.  

NOTE:  9-10 Girls group is full.    7-8 Girls and Boys is full.  6 and under Girls is full.  Puffin Pre-team is full.

You will be placed on the waitlist if you register for these age groups.  However, please do not skip registration because one or more of your children is in a group that is full or close to full.  You may initially be on the waitlist, but we are going to try and accommodate as many swimmers and families as possible.  Your child may still be moved from the waitlist to the roster before the season begins.

Springtime is getting us in the mood for summer swim team!!  Please read the information about the season, as there are some changes to the program this year.

The MAC Swim Team is a fun yet competitive swim team for children ages 5-18.  Practice is offered five days a week in the morning and weekly meets are held on Monday nights.  Consistent practice attendance is encouraged.  Please note, swimmers must be able to swim across the pool in a reasonable time to be part of the MAC Swim Team.  Each swimmer must also commit to swim in AT LEAST 3 meets.  We will not be allowing swimmers to 'practice only' like in years past.

The following is the tentative practice schedule for the 2017 summer swim team.  This schedule may be changed if necessary due to final enrollment numbers.

Morning Swim Practice (Monday-Friday)

7:30 am - 8 am --  Open Ages practice for ages 8 and up

8 am - 8:45 am -- 9 and 10 year olds

8:45 am - 9:45 am -- 11-12 year olds

9:30 am - 10:30 am -- 13 and up

10:30 am -11:15 am -- 7 and 8 year olds

11:15 am - 11:45 am -- Ages 6 and under

Evening Practice will be offered on Tuesday and Thursday evenings from 5:30 pm - 6:15 pm for ages 8 and up only.  

All swimmers are expected to attended morning practices.  If evening practices are needed some weeks due to conflicts, such as camps, requests can be made by email to Stephanie Reh and Alyson Schoedel.  The sooner you let us know your request, the better we can try to accommodate your request.  Spots are very limited for evening practice.  

2017 Swim Team Size

The MAC Swim Team will be capped at 25 boys and 25 girls for each age group (6 and under, 7/8, 9/10, 11/12 and 13/14 and 15-18). If a group is full when registering, the swimmer will be placed on a waitlist in order of registration.  We will do our best to update the home page of this site with registration numbers for each age group.  

The Puffin Pre-Team is for younger swimmers ages 3-6 (swimmers MUST BE 3 by June 6--no exceptions) who cannot swim the full length of the pool.  Practices will be held on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from 12-12:30 pm beginning on Tuesday, June 6.  The season will end with a fun "swim meet," where the swimmers can show off all their new skills.  The Puffin Pre-Team is capped at 30 swimmers.  If needed, a waitlist will be created based on registration date.

Volunteer Requirements

Parents are required to work swim and dive meets.  Parents of one swimmer must work at two swim meets during the season.  Parents of two or more swimmers must work at three swim meets during the season.  If a swimmer is also on Dive Team, the family is responsible for working one (if one swimmer) or two (if multiple swimmers) swim meets and one dive meet during the season.  Families may choose to "buyout" of their swim team work requirements.  Buy out cost is $50/shift.  Volunteer sign ups and information about the "buyout" deadline will be available near the end of April.  Emails with more information will be sent out to all registered swim families.  

Registration Information

Registration for current families will begin at 8 am on Wednesday, March 1.  Current families are those that participated in the MAC Swim Team, Dive Team or Puffin Pre-Team last season.  Registration for all others will begin at 8 am on Monday, April 3.  Like last year, registration will take place through this website.  You will NOT be able to register on the website before these dates.  On March 1 (for current families) and April 3 (for new families), there will be a blinking tab that you can click on to begin registration.  After you register, you will receive a confirmation email.  You will receive this confirmation email even if the group you are registering for is full.  If the group is full, you will receive an email notifying you of your waitlist status AFTER you receive your confirmation email.  

NO EXCEPTIONS will be make to the first come, first served registration policy.  If you are a current family, you MUST register prior to Monday, April 3 in order to secure your spot(s) on the team.  After April 3, it is rolling enrollment and we will close any group that has met the maximum capacity, whether you were a current family or not.  

Registration closes on May 22nd for swimmers 12 and under and on June 13th for swimmers 13 and over.  We will not take any registrations after this date.  Please note, that if a group reaches it's max limit prior to these dates, it will close early.

The charge for the 2017 swim season is $110/swimmer.  You will receive a 10% discount for each additional swimmer.  The charge for the 2017 dive season is also $110/diver and the 10% sibling discount applies to divers as well.
